Massage Therapy

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Affecting the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems, therapeutic massage improves health and well-being.  By normalizing these systems the whole body responds through better sleep, digestion, detoxification, flexibility, mood and the list goes on. 

By reducing the impact of stress, muscular over-use and chronic pain the body is more in balance and better able to meet the demands of daily life.

Reiki

Reiki is an energy-based modality that originated in Japan.  Using light contact, a Reiki session can help ease tension and stress.  Reiki supports the body to facilitate healing on all levels - physical, mental and emotional. 

In combination with massage, Reiki is applied to specific areas where needed to ease pain and tension. 

In a 1 hour Reiki session, the client receives a chakra balancing and a head to toe reiki treatment.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture supports healthy functioning of all systems in your body.  Used in massage therapy, acupuncture offers pain relief, reduces inflammation and promotes healing of soft tissue injuries.

In an acupuncture treatment, needles are inserted into the body at specific points (acupoints) to stimulate and balance the flow of Qi, our life energy.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on technique.  With very light contact, usually at the head or along the spine, the therapist can access and help resolve long held patterns of tension in the system.  Allowing the client to have more energy available for healing and vitality.

Clients usually experience a deep sense of relaxation during and after their session.

Massage Cupping

Massage cupping is a new twist on an old modality.  By using cups to create a suction over areas of tension and congestion, massage cupping softens tight muscles, loosens adhesions and opens lymphatic pathways.  ​​  

Applied with massage oil, the cups are slid over the length of tense muscles and clients feel a gentle pulling on the tissue.

Reiki Treatment

This session is a Reiki treatment only.  The client remains clothed while resting on the massage table.  The session includes chakra balancing and a full body treatment with reiki energy.
